- Former Arsenal midfielder Alex Song has 27 siblings – 17 sisters and 10 brothers. That’s a whole football squad right there!
- Mark Hughes once played two matches on the same day. He first played for Wales against Czechoslovakia in Prague, and then drove across the border to turn up for Bayern Munich in the afternoon.
- The only English player to have played in a Champions League finals, but never win a cap for England is Jermaine Pennant. He played for Liverpool against AC Milan.
